JE Salon Wigs Was Featured on CTV Calgary. Here's What That Means to Me

Earlier this week, CTV Calgary covered the story behind why I shaved my head. You can watch the full segment here.

I'll be honest: seeing it go live felt surreal. Not because I wasn't prepared for it, but because the reason I did this in the first place has always been about the women who haven't been able to talk about their hair loss out loud yet. And suddenly that story was on the news.

That's not something I take lightly.

Why I'm Sharing This Story Publicly

I work with women every single day who are navigating hair loss in private. They research quietly. They Google at midnight. They sit with this for months, sometimes years, before they ever reach out to anyone.

That isolation is the thing I most want to change.

When CTV reached out, I said yes because visibility matters. The more this conversation happens out in the open, on the news, on social media, in everyday life, the less alone the women who are living it feel. And the sooner they find the support they actually need.

That's the whole point of the Shave Series. It's not about me. It's about making the path easier for everyone who comes after.

If You're Just Finding Me Through CTV

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

I'm Jo. I'm a wig and hair topper specialist based in Calgary, and I work with women across Canada and internationally through virtual consultations. I wear a topper myself, and I've built my practice around one core belief: buying a wig is the easy part. Actually wearing it with confidence out in the world? That's where the real work begins. And that's exactly the work I want to walk alongside you through.

If you're in the middle of hair loss right now, whether from a medical condition, a treatment, a diagnosis, or something that doesn't have a clear label yet, you're in the right place.

There's no pressure here. Just honest, knowledgeable guidance from someone who genuinely understands this space.

And if you know someone who is going through treatment or navigating hair loss right now, please share this with them. That's exactly the kind of reach that makes this work matter.
